Researchers using High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) imagery of the surface of Mars have examined a fault system known as Cerberus Fossae and determined that Mars experiences "
marsquakes," its equivalent of earthquakes, suggesting possible volcanism still at work below the surface.
