Oxygen in Dione's Atmosphere
Molecular oxygen ions
have been detected in the upper atmosphere of Saturn's moon Dione by the orbiting Cassini spacecraft, providing evidence that large quantities of oxygen can be found on icy bodies that are exposed to sunlight.
